In order to update your Router’s Firmware, Enter the Router’s Default or assigned ip in the Address bar of your browser.Then find the updated firmware version and download the recent version on the Netgear Official Website. Then, Simply update the router and restart your router. Note: You must be connected to the router either via lan cable or WiFi Connection. If you are connected then you will not be able to connect to the Router’s Setting. How to Update Netgear Router Manually firmware for your Router.- Connect Your Netgear Router Either with an ethernet Cable or Wifi Connection.
- Visit Official Netgear Support Website.
- Enter the Model Number or Product Name of your Netgear Router in the Given Space and Press Enter.
- Click on Downloads For the updated firmware to be downloaded on your Computer.
- Choose the Correct firmware you want to download.
- Press Ctrl + J to open the Download Folder to locate the File.
- Unzip the Firmware File if required.
- Open www.routerlogin.net on your web browser. A Login Page Will Open.
- Type In your Router Credentials i.e. Username & Password.
- In the Router Settings Select Advanced > Administration.
- Choose the option that Says Firmware Update or Router Update.
- Tap on Choose File and then select the Firmware that you Downloaded. The File Extension must be .img or .chk
- And at last click on the Upload Button.
